We are a 501(c)(3) not for profit animal rescue based in Burleson County, Texas. While our rescue operations and foster homes are primarily located in Central Texas, we proudly transport and place pets with adopters across much of the United States and even Canada.

We recently adopted a special needs dog from HART and the experience could not have gone better. The application process was smooth and their communication was rapid and thorough, including the ability to talk with the foster family. We live in northeast Ohio, so Cookie came to us via Spring Branch Rescue Transport. HART let us know when she left Texas and we were able to track the van as it traveled up the east coast. They continued to give updates on the van's progress at each stop, and Cookie arrived exactly on time with all of her paperwork perfectly in order. We were a bit hesitant at first to adopt a dog without a "meet-and-greet" first but HART made the process comfortable and easy. Cookie is exactly the dog they said she was, and we are very happy to have her as part of our family! Thank you, HART!

As a seasoned dog rescue family, we have rescued dogs before. We recently adopted a dog from HART. Since we are in New England, it was a bit of a leap of faith to adopt a dog from so far away. But HART was amazing every step of the way with fantastic, timely, honest and clear communication, and photos and videos of our soon to be pup when we were considering his adoption; and then during the super organized transport process they have.
HART and its team clearly treat these animals with care and love. Our pup arrived just as described by Tracey and Danielle: He is healthy (had vet visit yesterday!) sweet, kind, loving, patient, quiet, loyal, intelligent, trusting, playful, and very much loved!
And he somehow loves the snow! All the way from Texas!

We adopted our beautiful girl, Jade, from HART in May. We were a little nervous about adopting an out of state dog, but there is such a need. The director of HART and Jade's foster were easy to reach. We got lots of updates and photos before she got on the transport. The transport went smoothly and Jade arrived safe and sound. They have so many good and deserving dogs that now we foster for HART as well.
