Adoption FAQ
-
We know your time is precious (ours is too). We strive to make the adoption process safe, comfortable, and efficient. We work to get to a ‘yes!’ when it comes to adoptions so if we can’t find your best fit on the first try we will continue to work with you.
Submit adoption survey to let us know more about your family, lifestyle, and expectations.
We will reach out to schedule a call to have a conversation about the pet you are interested in.
A meet and greet will be scheduled so you can meet the pet. For out of area applicants we will put you in contact with a foster/volunteer for pictures, video, and conversation to get to know the pet.
Bring home your new pet when you are ready! For out of area applicants, we will work with you to schedule a transport to get your new pet!
-
Adoption fees are dependent on the pet. Each pet gets different vet work and training done depending on the condition they came to our rescue.
For out of area adoptions, transport costs differ greatly based on dog size and which area of the country they are traveling to.
100% of adoption fees (and donations!) go right back to saving more animals as our organization is run by volunteers.

Each pet will be fully up to date on shots, spayed/neutered, and microchipped before they go to their new home.
After you adopt your new pet you will receive their vet paperwork and microchip information. Your pet’s microchip will be registered to you for you automatically.

We take all our pet’s back in the case that a new pet is not meshing into your home.
We will work with the new adopter to work through early (and common) issues. It can take pets up to 3 months to fully settle into their new home. Routines can help shorten that period of time and ease the transition for the newly adopted pet and family.
Sometimes, things just don’t work out, in which case we reserve judgements and are excited to learn more about our pets to make better placements for them in the future!
